Anneke Laan was born in the Netherlands 1942. In 1985 she immigrated with her husband and children to New Zealand where in 1990 she began her tutoring in art taking classes in the fields of painting, etching, and drawing. Laan has
exhibitied annually since 1994, and in 1998 received an award for painting. Anneke currently teaches and exhibits near her North Shore home in Auckland.
