Karl
is a professional artist with 16 years experience, working in oils and 8
years of teaching experience. Taught and mentored by Dame Louise Henderson,
he has an intimate working knowledge of both abstraction and representational
art. He has also been taught and influenced by American artist Christiane
Corbat, who was a strong force in the arts and healing movement. His own
work is concerned with expressing archetypal principles and the telling
of personal histories. Work exhibited by Morgan Street Gallery, Auckland
and Mikkelson Gallery, Paeroa. Karl has recently been invited to exhibit
at the Florence Biennale 2009. He is also preparing to exhibit in a group
with other professional New Zealand artists; this will tour both nationally
and internationally during 2009/2010.
