Originally from Silverstream in the Hutt Valley, Vivienne now lives on the North Shore, Auckland, where she works from a home-based studio as an illustrator and writer.
Vivienne writes contemporary adult fiction. She has completed one novel and is working on a second. Vivienne also illustrates books for children, with three trade books published and twelve for the education sector.
Vivienne's art background is extensive, ranging from graphics through to exhibiting fine art in dealer galleries.
Her specializations are the figure and portraiture, skills which she now brings into her illustration work. Although she is sought for her realistic and sensitive rendering of people, Vivienne can produce many styles, of any subject using a variety of mediums.
She currently teaches figure studies and portraiture at Mairangi Arts Centre.
Vivienne is a member of Kiwi Write4Kidz and coordinator of the Albany critique group.
